De nouvelles silhouettes viennent habiter le jardin de Jean-Jacques Rousseau : les sculptures de l’artiste Milthon. Son exposition De la terre aux canopées, du 7 juin au 26 octobre 2025, se veut une ode à la nature tout en stimulant l’imaginaire.
Travaillant d’abord l’argile avant de passer au bronze ou à la résine, le sculpteur d’origine colombienne explore les contrastes entre matière et légèreté, entre densité et finesse. Les formes longilignes émergent du sol, atteignant parfois des dimensions monumentales. En s’élevant, les structures prennent figure humaine et fixent notre attention par leur grâce singulière. Ses canopées, drapées de plantes grimpantes, créent un nouvel écosystème.
En invitant à lever les yeux, les œuvres de Milthon nous incitent ainsi à ralentir et détailler le spectacle de la nature. Pourvu qu’une rêverie douce & profonde s’empare alors de [nos] sens, & [que nous nous perdions] avec une délicieuse ivresse dans l’immensité de ce beau système avec lequel [nous nous sentons] identifiés.1
